FRANCES ‘DUTCH’ CANADA

Frances ‘Dutch’ Canada, 98, of Chesterfield, Mo., formerly of Blytheville, Ark., passed away Monday, May 28, 2018, in Chesterfield. She was born to the late Jack Barnes and Josephine Frederick Barnes on July 18, 1919, in Kaiser, Ark. She was united in marriage to Robin Canada. She was born and raised in the Bootheel and loved fishing and the St. Louis Cardinals. She was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Blytheville, Ark.

Mrs. Canada was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Josephine Barnes; husband, Robin Canada, and siblings, Marvin Barnes, Vera Long, James Barnes, Chester Hitchcock, Mary Collins, Destie Parish and Claude Barnes.

Survivors of Mrs. Canada include one son, Ed Canada and his wife, Joan, of Chesterfield, Mo., and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Canada were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 1 at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Damesworth officiating. Interment followed at Mitchell Number Eight Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12 noon until the time of the service.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
