LINDA LUCILLE WINTERS

Linda Lucille Winters was born February 13, 1931 in Caruthersville. She was the daughter of James and Myrtle Doster Sides.

She departed this life in Dyersburg, on May 19, 2018. She was 87 years old.

Lucille attended school in Caruthersville.

On May 1, 1946 in Caruthersville, she was united in marriage to George L. Winters Sr. He preceded her in death on March 13, 1995.

Lucille enjoyed gardening, camping, sewing, fishing, cooking, music and charitable work in the Caruthersville community.

She was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church in Dyersburg.

Preceding her in death were her parents, and her sisters Bessie Sides, Aline Goss, and Kathleen Sides.

She is survived by her three children, Linda (Ken) Frederick of Peshtigo, WI, George L. Winters Jr. (Rosie) of Dyersburg, and Joy Kay (Gary) Weber of Caruthersville, ten grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held May 21 at 1 p.m. at Little Prairie Cemetery in Caruthersville with H.S. Smith Funeral Home in charge. Pallbearers were George Laurence Winters III, Gabe Winters, Jonathan Winters, Laurence George Winters, Gary Dale Weber, and Jason Weber.
