EDNA LOUISE DYE

Edna Louise Dye was born November 3, 1932 in Portageville, MO. She was the daughter of Lewis R. Jones and Maudie Belle Ward.

She departed this life on May 4, 2018 at the Southgate Living Center in Caruthersville. She was 85 years old.

On July 19, 1947 in Piggott, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Marvin Verlin Dye. He preceded her in death.

Edna and Marvin were the owners and operators of the Dye Grocery Store for many years. She also worked for Wal Mart for 12 years when it first came to Caruthersville. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and crocheting.

She was preceded in death by her parents (Lewis and Maudie Jones) and husband (Marvin Dye).

She is survived by seven children, Lisa Drouant of Clearwater, FL, son, Kenneth Dye of Caruthersville, son, Larry Dye of Caruthersville, daughter, Anita Brisbois of Windsor, Ontario, son, Marvin Dye, Jr. of Arnold, Jimmie Dye of Caruthersville, and Michele Yates of Steele, 14 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held May 7, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. with Brother Danny Lacer officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Dalton Dye, Dillon Dye, Zach McDonald, Chris Shuman, Jimmie Dye, and Sean Hollis.
