JACQUELINE (JACKIE) BRODIE PENDERGRASS

Jacqueline (Jackie) Brodie Pendergrass was born March 29, 1948 in New Madrid, MO. She was the daughter of James Edward Brodie and Maxine Holmes Brodie.

She departed this life at the Southgate Living Center in Caruthersville on April 8, 2018. She was 70 years old.

Jackie graduated from Caruthersville High School. She then received her Licensed Practical Nursing License. She worked at the nursing home in Steele and also in Caruthersville. In fact, even when she was no longer to work at the nursing home and became a resident, she really still believed that she worked there and you would find her behind the desk trying to work on the charts.

She loved her two granddaughters and treasured the time she was able to spend with them. She loved her dog, Ginger. She also loved eating ice cream and watching Criminal Minds.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Maxine Brodie, two sisters, Barbara Hale and Darla Shires, and two brothers, Charles and Tony Brodie.

She is survived by her daughter, Jamie Hicks of Caruthersville, two granddaughters, Statyn Coppage and Caroline Hicks of Caruthersville, one brother, Ronnie Brodie of Caruthersville, one sister, Debbie Conway of Tishomingo, MS, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Services were held April 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Ed Reeves officiating.
