Volleyball honorees announced

The 2017 volleyball season has come and gone in the Bootheel of Missouri, and several teams had outstanding efforts this fall. Additionally, several Pemiscot County players were selected for All-Conference and All District. Class 2 District 1 All-District honorees were Keara Johnson, Caruthersville, and Kaylee Williams, South Pemiscot, both 2nd Team. Johnson and Williams were also selected to the Bootheel Conference All-Conference teams, as was Sabre Amerson of South Pemiscot. At the junior varsity level for All-Conference, Sarah Eddleman of South Pemiscot and Adi Young and Madilynn Pierce, both of Caruthersville, were selected.

As for Tri-County All-Conference recognition, 1st Team were Kayla Kuehler, North Pemiscot and Lauribeth Childers, Cooter. Second team selections were Casidy Strother, Delta C-7; Heiryn Ellis, North Pemiscot and Brooke Cameron, Cooter. Those chosen for Honorable Mention were: Liyah Hattiex, North Pemiscot; Hannah Johnson, Delta C-7 and Hailey McGowan, North Pemiscot.

Junior varsity Tri-County All-Conference honorees were also named. Riley Gilmore of Delta C-7, Jayden Hunter of North Pemiscot and Madison Barnes of Cooter were voted to 2nd Team All-Conference. Honorable Mention went to Abbey Callis, Delta C-7, and Aylena Serrano, Cooter.

Honorees for Class 1 District 1 All-District were Casidy Strother, Kayla Kuehler and Tara Davis of North Pemiscot.
