Margarete Sides displays the beautiful handmade quilt she made. The quilt will be awarded to the winner of the silent auction.

The ladies of the First Presbyterian Church in Caruthersville are preparing for the annual flea market which will be held in the church basement at Carleton and Currie on Saturday, Nov. 4 from 10 a.m. until they sell out.

During this time they will also be hosting a silent auction for a beautiful multi colored 96 x 94 quilt handmade by one of the most talented First Presbyterian Church members, Margaret Sides. All proceeds from the quilt will go to benefit the Presbyterian Women's charitable causes. Those interested may submit your bid any day before or during the flea market. Starting bid is $50, and bids will increase in $5 increments. Bidding will close Saturday afternoon as the flea market closes (around 2 p.m.). You may leave your bid by either going to the church office before 1 p.m. daily, or by calling Cindy at the church office at 573-333-0660.

The winning bidder will be notified Sat. Nov. 4 and can pay and pick up by Sunday, Nov. 5.
