SAMMY EUGENE BROWN

Sammy Eugene Brown of the Steele and Braggadocio Area was born on January 11, 1937 in Tyler, MO to the parents of Jess Fraze and Lenora Sandage and he passed away on October 11, 2017 at the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital in Hayti, at the age of 80 years and 9 months.

He was united in marriage to Miss Jessie Faye Towery on December 30, 1957 in Hayti. They were married for 60 years.

He was a farmer, he loved raising cotton. He was a big fan of basketball, he would go all over Pemiscot county to see a good basketball game. His favorite team was of course the Delta C-7 Chargers. Later years he loved putting puzzles together and playing cards with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and working word search books.

He was preceded in death by Jesse and Lenora Fraze.

He leaves to cherish his memory, wife Jessie Faye Brown of Steele, daughter Faye Ann Brown and special friend Neal Peters of Bragg City, two sons, Eddie and wife Tammy Brown of Steele, and Shawn Brown of Caruthersville, two granddaughters and one grandson- Paula Cheramie, Tiffany and husband Wesley Meeks, Jason and wife Tiffany Brown, and eight great-grandchildren, Kayla Teal and Chloe Teal, Trevor Cheramie and Trenton Cheramie, Austin Meeks, Gavin Meeks, Brodie Brown, and Logan Brown, two brothers, Joe and wife Sue Fraze of New Albany, MS, and Jackie and wife Diane Fraze of Branson, MO, two sisters, Margie Going of Caruthersville, and Angel Pennington of Caruthersville.

Visitation was held Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services was held at 1:00 p.m. in the Brimhall Funeral Home with Bro. Doug Wahls officiating, with burial in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Shawn Brown, P.J. Glass, Clifford Halford, Eddie Brown, Buford Barnett, Newal Peters and Wesley Meeks.
