MOTHER BOBBIE SUE BARRINGER

Mother Bobbie Sue Barringer was born June 3, 1939 to the late John Morgan James and Celustia James. She departed this life on October 10, 2017 in Hayti, Missouri. She was 78 years old.

Mother Bobbie Barringer attended Central School in Hayti, Missouri. She was united in matrimony to the late Fred Douglas Barringer in 1958. To this union, six children were born.

Mother Bobbie Barringer was a faithful member of the Faith Temple Church for over 40 years. She was a member of the Mother’s Board and faithful to noon day prayer. She loved the church and always gave God the praise.

She leaves to cherish her memories, four daughters, Doris (Alex) Smith of Dyersburg, TN, Clara (John) Lane of Caruthersville, Lura (Andrew) Rutledge of Hayti, Alyce Barringer Hayti, three sons, Fred Jr. (Stella) Barringer of Toledo, OH, Dr. Tony (Lisa) Barrringer of Cape Coral, FL, and Jimmy Shepard of North Chicago, IL, four sisters, Johnny Tuggles of Kansas City, Malvator James of Chicago, IL, Fannie Sue James of Hayti, and Annie Lue (Jimmy) Shepard of Chicago, IL, a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, October 14 at 11:00 a.m. at the Faith Temple Church with Pastor Courtney Sanders Jr. officiating. Interment was in Evergreen Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Karl Humes, Alex James, Jeremiah Barringer, Cortez Barringer, Johnny Barringer, Kevin Wells.

Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Tony Barringer, Fred Barringer, Jr., Jimmy Shepard, Frank Barringer, Cedrick Barringer, and Roy Barringer.
