Sept. 20 - Officers responded to Flash Market in reference to an assault. Upon arrival officers met with a man who stated another man flourished a knife and then punched him in the face. Officers subsequently arrested a 69 year old man from Steele on charges of assault and unlawful use of a weapon. The suspect received a summons to appear in municipal court. Arresting officer: Stanfield.

Sept. 20 - A woman came to the police department and reported to officers that a woman had yelled profanities toward her. Officers arrested a 61 year old woman from Steele on the charge of peace disturbance by profane and abusive language. The suspect received a summons to appear in municipal court. Arresting officer: Stanfield.

Sept. 21 - Officers responded to Nobel Estates in reference to a disturbance. While at the scene police observed a woman physically assault her boyfriend. The 28 year old Steele woman was arrested on charges of domestic assault and trespassing. She was taken to the Justice Center. Arresting officer: Reno.

Sept. 22 - Officers responded to Food Giant in reference to a shoplifter. Upon arrival, officers subsequently arrested a 48 year old Steele woman on charges of shoplifting. The 48 year old suspect was released by summons to appear in municipal court. Arresting officer: Carter.

Sept. 24 - A woman reported to police that someone had violated an ex parte order. Officers investigated the incident and a report was filed with the county prosecutor’s office.

Sept. 24 - Officers responded to a report of a suicidal person at the Deerfield Travel Center. Officer Josh Carter arrived on scene and observed a man holding a knife to his wrist. The man who was later identified as being from Chicago was threatening to harm himself and others. Officer Carter continued talking to the man and he subsequently threw the knife down and detained without any further incident. The 38 year old man was transported to the Pemiscot Memorial Hospital to be evaluated.

Sept. 24 - Renee Henley reported to police that someone had stolen her Craftsman lawnmower from her yard during the overnight hours.

Sept. 26 - During the morning hours officer Eric Reno made contact with a suspicious man walking on South Walnut Street. The 45 year old man was found to be in possession of suspected methamphetamine. The suspect was taken into custody on charges of felony possession of a controlled substance and transported to the Justice Center. Arresting officer: Reno.
