Hayti Police Report

Sept. 7 - At approximately 8:10 a.m., officers are called to the Hayti School in reference to a fight that had occurred. After furthering the investigation, officers learned a fight also occurred in the 1700 Block of North Oates prior to the school fight happening. Officers arrested a 15 year old male juvenile, a 16 year old female juvenile, a 15 year old female juvenile, and a 14 year old female juvenile. All of the subjects were transported to the county Juvenile Authorities where the subjects were later transported to the Bloomfield Detention Center. Two adult arrests are pending formal charges by the prosecuting attorney’s office.

Sept. 7 - At approximately 7:30 a.m., officers were approached about an assault that happened on September 6 at 2:00 a.m. Officers conducted an investigation and filed for charges against a 38 year old male from Hayti for domestic assault and child endangerment.

Sept. 7 - The Prosecuting Attorney issued a warrant for Freddie Payne Jr., 38, of Hayti for domestic assault 2nd and 3rd degree. At approximately 5:20 p.m. officers located Payne and took him into custody. Payne was processed at the police department and transported to the Justice Center where he is being held on a $100,000 cash bond.

Sept. 7 - At approximately 6:45 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop. During the stop, officer identified Raymond Morgan, 20, of Blytheville, AR, who was wanted out of Kennett for shoplifting. Morgan was processed at the police department and then transported to the Justice Center where he is being held until Kennett police department can transport him back to Kennett.

Sept. 8 - At approximately 1:00 a.m. officers conducted a traffic stop at the 200 Block of South 5th. Officers were able to locate an illegal substance inside the vehicle. Bennie Douglas, 20, of Hayti was charged with possession of marijuana less than 35g. Douglas was processed at the police department and released with a court date.
