Steele pharmacy burglarized Tuesday

Steele Chief of Police Billy Joe Stanfield reports that during the early morning hours of Tuesday, Aug. 15, his officers were dispatched to Greene Pharmacy in reference to a burglar alarm being activated. Officers quickly arrived on scene and found the front door had been forced open.

Steele Police and Pemiscot County deputies entered and secured the pharmacy. The suspect(s) had left prior to the officers arrival. “Taken during the burglary were pharmaceutical drugs and several hundred dollars worth of change,” said Chief Stanfield.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Pemiscot County Sheriff Department are assisting the Steele Police Department with this investigation. Anyone who might have information concerning this burglary is encouraged to call Steele Police at (573) 695-3411.
