It was during his visit to Rend Lake College’s Ina campus Thursday, July 13 that Riley Cain of Steele, Mo., made the decision to play for the RLC Warriors Baseball team this fall. Last spring, Cain finished his senior year as shortstop with the South Pemiscot High School Bulldogs, where he hit .548, including five homeruns and 18 RBIs with 32 runs scored. As a pitcher, he also went 5-1 with a 1.92 ERA. In May, Cain was named the Bootheel Conference Player of the Year.
