The girls summer softball league (14-18), Diamond Divas, played their varsity and junior varsity teams against Portageville. According to coach Katie Huston, the team is split into varsity (mostly upcoming junior and seniors) and junior varsity (mostly freshmen and sophomores). This allows more girls a chance to play when the opposing team has enough players to play a varsity and junior varsity match. Both teams won their games against Portageville.

The varsity game started off very close. Casidy Strother was the starting pitcher, Morgan Stansell the catcher. At the end of the first inning the Diamond Divas found themselves only down by one run. They were able to pull ahead in the second inning due to some throwing errors by Portageville and never gave up the lead after that time. Portageville continued to fight back against a defensive Divas team. In the end the game was won, by a score of 8-7, by the Diamond Divas.

The junior varsity game showed the continuation of the Divas prowess on the field. Portageville found themselves struggling to keep up. The Diamond Divas JV took the second game with a score of 13-3.
