The Cooter City Council met in regular session Tuesday, April 18. Present at the meeting were Cooter Mayor Jerry Rushing, aldermen: Earl Yates, Rodney Neville, Brenda Horton and Gary Robinson, Cooter City Clerk Regina Davis and Jerry McClure.

The meeting was started out by swearing in new aldermen: Jerry McClure for Ward I and Earl Yates for Ward II. McClure replaced Neville as alderman. Mayor Rushing said, “We want to thank Rodney Neville for all he has done as alderman and will continue to do as an outstanding resident and business owner of the city.” Afterward, Neville stepped down, and McClure began his duty.

Next, the council passed a motion to pay the bills.

The only agenda item was city property and maintenance. Rodney Neville was present to represent Cooter General Store. He requested to use the lot space next to Cooter General Store for parking and vendors for the annual Back to School Bash he holds every year. Board members agreed to let him use the lot.
