Mar. 25 - Officers were called to the 1100 Block of North Oates in reference to a subject who had entered a residence and assaulted a female and took some property from her in value of over $500. The suspect, a 29 year old Hayti male, fled the scene prior to officers arrival so the case was filed with the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. On April 6, the Office issued a warrant against Rayshaun Reed, 29, of Hayti charging him with burglary 1st degree, felony stealing and domestic assault 4th degree.

Apr. 20 - At 5:00 p.m. officers arrested Rayshaun Reed at Hayti Municipal Court on the warrant for burglary 1st, felony stealing, and domestic assault 4th degree. Reed was processed and taken to the Justice Center where he is being held in lieu of a $50,000 bond.

Apr. 19 - At approximately 9:15 p.m officers responded to the 300 Block of East Lee in reference to trespassing. A complaint was filed stating that Wesley Welch, 22, of Cooter had trespassed and assaulted a subject. With the help of county deputies, Welch was located in Cooter. Welch was transported to the police department, where he was processed and released on a bond of $243.50 and given a court date.
