April 10 - Officers investigated an alleged stabbing that reportedly took place at a residence on North Walnut Street. The victim had an apparant stab wound to hte chest and was transported by ambulance for medical attention. Chief of Police Billy Joe Stanfield located and arrested James Wilbourn, 65, of Steele in connection with the stabbing. He was arrested on 1st degree assault and armed criminal action and held at the Justice Center. Stanfield filed a report with the County Prosecuting Attorneys Office and a warrant was issued charging him with 1st degree assault and armed criminal action with no bond.

April 14 - 68 year old Steele woman was charged with trespassing and stealing, she received a citation to appear in Municipal Court. The woman is accused of trespassing on her neighbors property on Bellvue Street and stealing his dog. The dog was returned to the owner without incident.

April 23 - Antony Jones, 34, of Steele was arrested on two warrants charging him with non support and possession of a controlled substance. He was held on a $300 cash bond.
