OBIT - Walter Ray Turner

Walter Ray Turner was born October 8, 1956, in Hayti, MO. He passed away at his home in Kennett, MO., April 9, 2022. He was 65 years, 6 months, and 1 day of age.

He was preceded in death by his wife: Nancy Ellen Rhodes Turner, and his parents: Walter and Edith Christine Turner.

Walt was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was a long-time member of the Fraternal order of the Eagles. Walt also was an avid music lover, he enjoyed going to concerts and collecting classic cars and motorcycles.

He leaves the following to cherish his memory: 2 sons: Nicholas (Megan) Turner of Kennett, MO. and Andrew Turner of Jonesboro, AR, 1 brother, David (Cathy) Turner of Concord, MO, 4 grandchildren, Aunt Joan Young, Cousin Danny Young, and nephew David Allen Turner.

Memorial Services were held Saturday, April 16, 2022, at 2:00 p.m., in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Inurnment will be in Dry Bayou Cemetery at a later date.
