IMOGENE COOPER COCHRAN

Imogene Cooper Cochran was born on October 16, 1928 in Oak Ridge, MO to Carl Cooper and Nellie J. Cooper. She passed away on March 8, 2022 in Jackson, TN at the age of 93.

She was of the Methodist faith. Imogene enjoyed being outside and loved birds and beautiful flowers. She also loved to sing.

She was united in marriage on December 19, 1949 in Osceola, AR to Virgil Cochran, who preceded her in death.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Nellie Cooper, one grandson, Corey VanDyke, three siblings, Wayne Cooper, Dorothy Cooper and Carl Cooper Jr.

She is survived by two daughters, Carla Brown of Ottawa, Canada and Jonell Mosley of Jackson, TN, four grandchildren, Tiffany Burton Hill, Hannah Brown, Madison Brown, and Jackson Brown, four great grandchildren, Tucker VanDyke, Chandler VanDyke, Jada Marshall and Memphis Marshall.

Services were held March 14, 2022 at Powell Funeral Home in Steele with Rev. John E. Dunavant officiating. Burial was in Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers were Lee Dale Redden, Steve Reid, Robert Travis, Rick Mosley and Paul Cooper.
