Judith Gayle Stubblefield, 65, of Steele passed away Sunday, Dec. 24, 2017, in Memphis, Tenn. She was born Oct. 29, 1952, in Hayti, Mo., to the late Roger Stanford Davidson Sr., and Margaret Cherry Davidson. She was united in marriage to Gary Stubblefield on Dec. 20, 1994, in Caruthersville, Mo. She was a graduate of South Pemiscot School and worked at Motor Appliance in Blytheville, Ark., for many years. She worked at Powell Funeral Home until the time of her death. She loved her family, and she especially loved being Gram to her two boys, Jax and Cannon.

Mrs. Stubblefield was preceded in death by her parents, Roger Stanford Davidson Sr., and Margaret Cherry Davidson; one daughter, Amy Suzanne Hicks; one sister, Deborah Hager, and two brothers, Roger and Michael Davidson.

Survivors of Mrs. Stubblefield include her husband, Gary Stubblefield of Steele; two children, Steven Stubblefield and Brittany of Steele and Amanda Stockman and Landon of Cooter; two grandsons, Jaxon Stubblefield and Cannon Stockman; four nieces, Heather Hager, Kim Simmons, Andrea Tunnell and Samantha Rinks, and several great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for Mrs. Stubblefield were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 27 at Powell Funeral Home with Rev. Todd Holman officiating. Visitation was held from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 26.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
