NORMAN EUGENE ADAMS

Norman Eugene Adams was born in Henderson, Tennessee on January 12, 1931. He was the son of William Arthur Adams and Claire Oliver Adams.

He departed this life at the Autumn Wings Retirement Home in Schertz, Texas on December 17, 2017. He was 86 years old.

Normal proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He was in the Service department at Consolidated Freightweight before he retired. He was proud to be a member of the Teamster Local 618 for many years.

On January 28, 1968, he was united in marriage to Christina Lytle. She preceded him in death.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Claire Adams, his wife, Christina Adams, and two sisters, Rythia Crowe and Joallen Wolfe.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Adams and his wife, Dawn of Cibolo, TX, two grandchildren, Danielle Adams of Schertz, TX, and Joseph Adams, Jr. of Schertz, TX, one brother, Larry Adams of Caruthersville, three sisters, Betty Caple and her husband, Gene of Fairmount City, IL, Brenda McKee of Chicago, IL, and Neveda Gendron of St. Louis, MO, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 23 in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating. Interment in Maple Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Joe Adams, Joe Adams, Jr., Larry Linnemeyer, Dan Travis.
