JESSIE JAMES HOPKINS

Jessie James Hopkins of Marston, formerly of Wardell, was born July 25, 1926 in Gobler, MO.

He died April 30, 2018 at the Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau at the age of 91.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army.

He was retired from Noranda.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Juanita Hopkins on November 29, 1993, his parents, Arthur and Ethel Hopkins, one daughter, Patricia Sutton and one son, James Franklin Hopkins.

He is survived by his wife, Della Hopkins of Marston, four daughters and husbands, Louis and Lester Moore of Marston, Faye and William Quillin of Wardell, Purity and Thomas Chism of New Madrid, step-daughter, Judy and Mike Clover of Portageville, one step-son, Danny and Sherry Decker of New Madrid, sixteen grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services took place on Friday, May 4, 2018 at the Brimhall Funeral Chapel with Rev. William Quillin officiating. Pallbearers were grandsons, Brandon Quillin, Danny Ray Quillin, Tony Quillin, C.J. Chism, Lester Moore Jr. and Richard Edwards.

The Brimhall Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
