GREG HOLMES

Greg Holmes, 57, a longtime resident of Steele passed away Sunday, April 29, 2018. He was born in Blytheville, Ark., to Syrilda Holmes and the late Don Holmes. He graduated from Dell High School in 1980. He was married for 22 years to the love of his life, Lila Faye. He enjoyed playing his guitar, listening to music, being outside enjoying time with his pets and riding his lawn mower.

Mr. Holmes was preceded in death by his father, Don Holmes.

Survivors of Mr. Holmes include his wife, Lila Faye; mother, Syrilda Holmes; brother, Rodney Holmes; sister Monica Holmes Robinson; many nieces and nephews and many great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services for Mr. Holmes were held at 12 noon Thursday, May 3 at John W. German Funeral Home in Steele. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Pallbearers were Tommy Rich, Bruce Lee Jarred, Dylan Holmes, Draven Glidewell, Mark Ruminer and Eric Fennell.

John W. German Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
