Anna Lorena Azbill, 102, of Tyler passed away Monday, Feb. 26, 2018, in Steele. She was born Oct. 3, 1915, in Pemiscot County to Charles Pollard and Emma Robey Pollard. She was united in marriage to Ben Hooper Azbill on March 17, 1936. She was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church for 65 years. She helped her husband on the family farm and was an avid seamstress.

Mrs. Azbill was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Emma Robey Pollard; husband, Ben Azbill; one son-in-law, Phillip Johnson; four brothers, Bill, Henry, Shawn and Clarence Pollard, and two sisters, Florence Pollard and Nettie Allen.

Survivors of Mrs. Azbill include two daughters, Linda Burton and Joe Don of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and Brenda Johnson of Tyler, Mo.; two grandchildren, Joe David Burton of Springfield, Mo., and Dana Aden of Cape Girardeau, Mo., and four great-grandchildren, Michael Aden, Emily Aden, Rebecca Burton and Madison Burton.

Funeral services for Mrs. Azbill were held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 2 at Holly Grove Baptist Church with Rev. Dave Lewelling officiating. Interment followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Visitation was held from 12 noon until the time of the service. Pallbearers were Shawn Nowlin, David Burton, Byron Aden, Joe Don Burton, Jimmy Nance and Michael Aden.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
