David Cebert House, 77, of Steele passed away Saturday, Feb. 10, 2018, in Steele. He was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Kennett, Mo., to David W. House and Adilee Hardy House. He was united in marriage to Mary Lucas on Dec. 20, 1960, in Blytheville, Mo. He was well known for his work as an auto body repairman, owning his own business, D&J Body Repair.

Mr. House was preceded in death by his parents, David W. House and Adilee Hardy House; one daughter, Sandra House; one grandson, Brandon Allen; one son-in-law, Jim Stewart; two half-brothers, Bo and Dewayne House, and one half-sister, Tammy Thurman.

Survivors of Mr. House include his wife, Mary House; three daughters, Sue Henson and Danny of Steele, Brenda Boone and Thomas of Cooter and Sonya Stewart and Jeff Galbraith of Steele; one son, Jim House and Ashley of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; four half-brothers, Harley, Gary, Perry and Scotty House; one half-sister, Joy Jennings; 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services for Mr. House were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 14 at Powell Funeral Home of Steele with Rev. Jeremy Damesworth officiating. Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. Pallbearers were Jesse Henson, Michael House, Jason House, Brian Henson, Matthew Boone, Scotty Boone, Daniel Henson, Wesley House and D.J. House.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
