JOHNNY LAMAR DURHAM

Johnny Lamar Durham was born June 11, 1962 in Hayti. He was the son of the late Johnnie Arvel Durham and Shirley Faye Todd Durham.

He departed this life at his home in Denton, Missouri on January 11, 2018. He was 55 years old.

Lamar was united in marriage to Phyllis Reno in Caruthersville, on November 25, 1995.

He had many hobbies and interests. He could pick up just about any musical instrument and play it from the bass guitar to the drums. He loved fishing and hunting particularly deer hunting. Of course, being the hunter he was, he enjoyed collecting guns.

Many people knew of Lamar as a Civil War buff. He enjoyed watching movies and documentaries about history.

His greatest love and hobby was spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Durham, of Denton, MO, his mother, Shirley Dunham, of Braggadocio, one daughter, Christian Durham of Kennett, three sisters, Lois Friner of Hanford, LA, Etah Durham of Blytheville, Elizabeth Parks, three brothers, Kenneth Durham of Poplar Bluff, Todd Durham of Braggadocio, Ricky Parks of IL, several nieces and nephews including one special one-Cadence Burns-Durham, and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Johnnie Durham.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 15 in the H.S. Smith Chapel with Brother James Riley and Kenny Durham officiating. Interment in the Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery in West Point, Tennessee.
