HARRY BAKER ROSS

Harry Baker Ross, 67, of Caruthersville, Mo., passed away Sunday, Jan. 7, 2018, in Jonesboro, Ark. He was born Aug. 12, 1950, in Memphis, Tenn., to the late Charles Guy Ross Jr., and Demetra Baker Ross. He was united in marriage to Susan McClendon on Dec. 22, 1973, in Caruthersville. He was a graduate of Caruthersville High School, class of 1968. He was a farmer and had served on the R-3 School Board for 12 years, the Pemiscot County Soil and Water Board and served on the Board of Directors of the First State Bank in Caruthersville. One of his pastimes was spending time on Current River, and he loved being with all of his grandchildren.

Mr. Ross was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Guy Ross Jr., and Demetra Baker Ross, and two brothers, Charles Guy Ross III and John Stephen Ross (his twin brother).

Survivors of Mr. Ross include his wife, Susan Ross of Caruthersville; two sons, John Baker Ross and his wife, Tammy of Caruthersville and Andrew Mark Ross of Caruthersville; grandchildren, Layne Michael Ross, Peyton Alaine Ross and Shane Michael Mansfield and his wife, Megan; one great-granddaughter, Serenity Claire Mansfield, and many friends.

Private funeral services for Mr. Ross were held Saturday, Jan. 13.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
