ALMA CHARLINE TRAVIS

Alma Charline Travis of Caruthersville was born on February 27, 1944 to the parents of Paul Charles Crum and Bertha Humbyrd Crum in Chicago, IL, and she departed this life on December 29, 2017 at Dyersburg, TN.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Charles Benton (Ben) on October 30, 1962.

To this union was born three sons and one daughter whom she loved very much.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Bertha Boyd, her husband Ben, granddaughter Brittney Renee Travis and one brother-in-law Johnny Travis.

She leaves the following to cherish her memories, three sons and wives, Charles Benton II and Karen Travis of Caruthersville, Robert and Tammy Travis of Caruthersville, Franklin Eugene and Beth Travis of Miner, TN, one daughter and husband, Alice Maria and Ricky Boyd of Caruthersville, one brother, Gene Crum of Branson, MO, one brother-in-law and wife, Dan and Linda Travis of Hayti, grandchildren and husbands and wives, Megan and Shane, John Earl and Courtney, Skylar, Marc-Brent, Kaida, Alexus, Alyssa, Gabriel and Rebecca, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, January 31, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Brimhall Funeral Home with the Reverend Jimmy Lemonds officiating, with burial in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Caruthersville.

Pallbearers were Skylar Travis, John Earl Travis, Charles Gabriel Travis, Marc James Travis, Dan Travis, and Tommy Campbell. Honorary pallbearers were Brent Allen Travis and Zev Brown.

The Brimhall Funeral Home of Hayti in charge of arrangements.
