RAYMOND E. NUNNERY

Raymond E. Nunnery, 83, of McClure, Illinois, passed away on Friday, December 1, 2017, at the Missouri Veteran’s Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born on January 14, 1934, in Denton, Missouri, to Nathaniel and Nora (Waldrop) Nunnery.

He was a graduate of Holland High School and received a bachelor’s degree in education from Southeast Missouri State University.

He served in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.

He worked in the insurance business and owned his own adjusting company.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include three sons, Dale (Pam) Nunnery, Steve (Carol) Nunnery of Cape Girardeau, and John Nunnery of Virginia Beach, VA, one sister, Natalie Smith, of Evans, GA, four grandchildren, Laura (Ryan) Love, Ben Nunnery, Nathan Nunnery, and Derek Nunnery, one great-grandson, Crispin Love, and Jamie Lynn of Jackson, MO, who he raised as his daughter.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2:00-5:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2017, at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Chapel in Cape Girardeau.

Private family services will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations may be made to the Missouri Veteran’s Home.
