WANDA FAYE HUDGENS

Wanda Faye Hudgens was born April 7, 1956 in Hayti, Missouri. She was the daughter of Murry Mills and Marilyn Clark Mills.

She departed this life in Dyersburg, Tennessee on November 28, 2017. She was 61 years old.

On September 19, 1974 in Caruthersville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Mr. Johnny Ray Moore. He preceded her in death.

Wanda loved cooking. She worked at the deli at Hays Grocery Store and ran the restaurant at Trinity Marine for many years. She loved cooking for all of her family. Since she was known as the family babysitter, of course the grandchildren loved her cooking.

Wanda was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She enjoyed going to Tunica mostly just for the relaxing, talking, and laughing with family that was with her.

She was a member of the Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Murry Mills, and her husband, Johnny Moore.

She is survived by three children, Johnny Ray Moore, Jr., Jennifer Coleman, and Regina Coleman, two brothers, James Mills and Philip Mills, one sister, Marilyn Tally, seven grandchildren, Kohlyn Moore, Thackery Moore, Hailey Coleman, Michael Tyler Coleman, Terri Coleman, Lynne Coleman, and Hannah Coleman, three great-grandchildren, Kateleigh, Colton, and Dorian Alexander, other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Friday, December 1, at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. James Mills officiating. Interment followed in Maple Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Kohlyn Moore, Michael Tyler Coleman, Shawn Mills, Kevin Tally, Ken Tally, and Blake Turner.
