LEE ANNA PRIDE

Lee Anna Pride was born August 5, 1927 in Ballentine, Mississippi to the late Edmonia Tennys-Dillard and Daniel Pride.

She accepted Christ at an early age in Panola, county Mississippi. Later she relocated to Hayti. She joined Mount Zion, M.B. Church, served faithfully as an usher until her health failed her and remained a faithful member until her passing. The Lord called her home to rest on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at her residence.

She worked at Pemiscot Memorial Hospital for 30 plus years and always had wonderful words of advice for her family and friends. We all know she loved to talk and tell stories of her past. She loved to quilt and bake.

She was preceded in death by two children, Dorothy Wright and Carrie Wright, one sister, Edmonia Dillard, and one brother, James Dillard.

She leaves to cherish her memories five daughters, Mary Calvin of Kansas City, MO, Linda Calvin of Sikeston, MO, Ever Pride-Ruff of Memphis, TN, Wanda Pride of Hayti, MO, and Patricia Pride of St. Louis, MO, seven sons, Louis Wright and Wiley Calvin of Hayti, Solomon (Rose) Wright of Kansas City, MO, Aelix (Cynthia) Wright of Memphis, TN, Larnce (Vera) Wright of Memphis, TN, Joe Calvin and Bobby Calvin of Memphis, TN, three brothers, Mary Bryant, Bettie Moise, and Rutha Dillard, 31 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, 10 great-great-grandchildren, one special friend in a great-grandson, Sir Anthony Cobb and one favorite first cousin, Charley Pride.

Funeral services were held November 11, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in the Faith Temple C.O.G.I.C. in Hayti with Rev. Solomon Wright officiating. Burial followed in Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti.

Pallbearers were Joe Calvin II, Larnce Wright II, Brian Pride, Tristani Taylor, Aelix Wright II, and Larvizo and Stacey Wright.
