Marvella Wilkins (Cushinberry), 65 passed away peacefully on November 19th in Jacksonville, Florida with her family by her side. Marvella was born in Hayti, Missouri on November 11, 1952 to D.C and Alberta Cushinberry (Brantley). Marvella worked at Detroit Public Schools until her retirement in 2009. She was an active member of Eternal Life Harvest Center church.
Marvella is survived by her husband Keith Wilkins of Jacksonville, FL; a brother, Oscar Cushinberry of Springfield, IL; her children Derrick (Tamika) Presberry of Detroit, MI, Reginald Presberry of Louisville, KY, Latoya (Anthony) Washington of Tallahassee, FL, Alberta (Derrick) Harris of Oviedo, FL, Otisha Richmond of Detroit, MI; 4 stepchildren, Clifford Wilkins of Chicago, IL, Bradley (Angela) Wilkins of Sterling Heights, MI, Jennifer (Joe) Hall of Centerline, MI and Payton Wilkins of Atlanta, GA; 28 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Marvella’s earthly body was cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held December 9, 2017 at Eternal Life Harvest Center, 1801 Western Ave, Knoxville, TN at 1:00 pm.
