Oct. 26 - Police arrested Kassandra Nieves, 28, of Steele on an active Pemiscot County warrant charging her with passing bad checks (bond $1,000 cash only). Nieves was processed and taken to the Pemiscot County Justice Center. Arresting officer: Reno

Oct. 26 - The manager of MACO Properties singed a complaint against a 28-year-old woman for trespassing. The suspect had previously been barred off the property by the manager. The suspect was arrested on the complaint of trespassing and released by summons to appear in Steele Municipal Court. Arresting officer: Chief Stanfield

Oct. 30 - Police conducted a traffic stop with a car on Beasley Road. When the vehicle stop was made, the passenger in the car threw out a glass pipe that is commonly used for smoking methamphetamine. The glass pipe was recovered by officers. The passenger of the car was identified as being a 36-year-old man from Steele. He was also found to be in possession of a small amount of purported marijuana. Officers conducted a field test on the substance inside the glass pipe, and it tested positive for methamphetamine. The suspect was taken into custody and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana. The suspect was taken to the Pemiscot County Justice Center. Arresting officer: Reno
