LOIS LAVERN GREER

Lois Lavern Greer was born January 9, 1937 in Denton, Missouri. She was the daughter of Arthur Thomas and Ella Mae Curtis Thomas.

She departed this life at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee on Saturday, October 21, 2017. She was 80 years old.

Lois loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. If you talked to her, you would hear about them. She never met a stranger. She would talk with everyone she met as if she had known them forever.

Lois was a member of the Caruthersville Wesleyan Church where she was baptized by Rev. Kenny Lee in 2011.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Ella Thomas, her husband, Gerald Greer, 3 sisters, Betty Moore, Barbara Holt, Faye Burchard, and 2 sons, Keith and Mark Brandon.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Brandon and his wife, Susan, a sister, Linda Toler of Johnson City, Tenn., a brother, Gary Thomas and his wife, Gledia, 3 granddaughters, Shelly Mize and her husband, Justin, Tiffany Krammes and her husband, Matthew, and Brittney Pickens, 2 grandsons, Tyler and Bryan Brandon, 3 great-grandchildren, Kyle and Aiden Brandon and Anya Mize, many other relatives and friends.

Memorial services were held Thursday, October 26, at 1:00 p.m. at the Caruthersville Wesleyan Church with Rev. Kenny Lee officiating.
