Oct. 17 - A 24-year-old man from Steele was arrested by officers after his girlfriend reported to police he had physically assaulted her. After the alleged assault, the victim got into a vehicle with a friend. The man then jumped on the hood of the car and remained on the top of the car as it was driven to the police department where the suspect was then arrested. The suspect was charged with domestic assault, two counts of child endangerment and disorderly conduct. He was processed and then taken to the Pemiscot County Justice Center. Oct. 19 - Police arrested James Stewart, 26, of Steele on an active Pemiscot County warrant charging him with unlawful use of a firearm and unlawful possession of a firearm (bond $100,000). Stewart was taken to the Pemiscot County Justice Center and incarcerated. Arresting officer: Reno

Oct. 20 - Police attempted to arrest Jason Moody, 28, of Steele on an active Pemiscot County warrant charging him with two counts of domestic assault and resisting arrest (bond $75,000). Officer Joshua Carter made contact with Moody, and Moody began running from Officer Carter. The foot chase continued for several blocks with the suspect running in an out of a couple of houses. Moody then pulled a knife and began cutting his own wrist, causing injury to himself. Moody was subsequently apprehended and taken to the police department, where he was later transported by ambulance that was escorted by Steele Police Department to Pemiscot County Memorial Hospital, where Moody received treatment and was turned over to Pemiscot County deputies. Additional charges will be filed with the Pemiscot County prosecuting attorney. Arresting officer: Carter
