JAMES LYNN MEDLIN

James Lynn Medlin was born in Caruthersville on November 7, 1941.

He departed this life at his home in Caruthersville on October 10, 2017 at the age of 75.

He was the son of the late Jimmie Neville Medlin and Mary Jewell Cowen Medlin.

He attended the Kinsfolks Ridge and Caruthersville schools, graduating in the High School Class of 1959.

On April 18, 1966 in Caruthersville he was united to Martha Faye Moon.

He was employed by the Missouri Division of Employment for over 17 years and also the Pemiscot County Assessor’s Office.

Lynn enjoyed numerous things, including fishing, shooting guns, reloading, telling jokes, and yard sales. He truly enjoyed his life to the fullest.

He was of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three sisters, Ernestine Morgan, Jimmie Rose Gann, and Shirley Hemenway.

He is survived by his wife, Martha Medlin of Caruthersville, son, Jayme L. Medin and his wife, Kelly, of Caruthersville, two brothers, Mike Medlin of Caruthersville and Danny Medlin and wife Jane of Caruthersville, a special aunt, Doris Cowen of Caruthersville, and a number of other relatives and many, many friends.

Memorial services were held on Saturday, October 14 with Rev. John Earl Dunavant officiating at 3:00 p.m. in the H.S. Smith Chapel.
