GLENDA FAYE DALE

Glenda Faye Dale was born in Caruthersville on July 16, 1946. She was the daughter of Joseph B. Perkins and Roselee Rhynes Perkins.

She departed this life in Caruthersville, Missouri on October 13, 2017. She was 71 years old.

On October 3, 1961 in Blytheville, Arkansas she was united in marriage to Mr. Walter Stephen (Steve) Dale. They celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Glenda loved her family. She was known for cooking huge meals for the holidays. She also served as a very active Den Mother for Boy Scout Pack 158. She loved to work crossword puzzles, to watch soap operas, keep up with people on Facebook, going shopping for bargains especially at Goodwill, and the music of the Bee Gees.

She was a member of the Kinfolks Ridge Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 sisters, 4 brothers and a daughter, Teresa Lynn Dale.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Dale, six children, Walter Stephen Dale, II, Lisa Gaye Roberts, Anthony Wayne Dale, Sr., Jo Michelle Abbott, Rita Kay Black, and Nita Ann Dale, four brothers, Tamladge Hardy, Gay Perkins, Dan Perkins, Norman Perkins, one sister, Bonita McDaniel, 22 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, many other relatives, and friends.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Pilcher officiating. Interment followed in Maple Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Anthony Wayne Dale, Sr., Anthony Dale Wayne, Jr., Cory Black, Sr., Walter Stephen Dale, III, Charles V. Dale, Bret Ralston, Tim Abbott, and John Noehl.
