JOYCE SUE MORGAN PURDY

Joyce Sue Morgan Purdy of Hayti was born August 10, 1956 in Oneda, AL. She died October 6, 2017 in Cape Girardeau, at the age of 61 years, 1 month, and 26 days.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer Thomas Morgan and Lillie Odessa Stowe Morgan, son Carman Thomas Purdy, and brother James Barron.

She leaves the following to cherish her memory, spouse Charles Purdy of Hayti, son Timmy (Sonya) Purdy of Alabama, grandchildren, Zachary Purdy of AL, Dustin Hammett of AL, Jacob Purdy of AR, great-grandchild Aliyah Purdy of AL, sisters Ahelia Gilbreath, and Velma Givens of TN, Cathy Tipp and Debbie Stark of MO, brothers, Billy (Betsy) Barron of Willsonville, Wayne (Selena) Barron of McKenzie, and Tommy (Diana) Morgan of McKenzie, She had a special niece Stephanie (Josh) Busby, as well as a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti with Donnie Turner giving the Eulogy. Burial followed in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti. Pallbearers were Zachary Purdy, Dustin Hammett, Jacob Purdy, Roger Weeks, Christian Turner, Daymon Turner, Aaron Turner, and Cody Turner.
