Oct. 2 - Officers arrested Mark Sallis,Jr., 23, for an outstanding warrant through Dunklin county for probation violation. Sallis was transported to the police department where he was processed and transported to Dunklin County. Sallis is being held on no bond.

Oct. 4 - At approximately 4:20 p.m. officers conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation. Subsequently to the traffic stop officers obtained consent to search the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle officers located a large amount of marijuana. The suspect, 25, of Burdette, was arrested for possession of marijuana over 35 grams with intent to distribute. The suspect was processed and transported to the Justice Center pending the filing of formal charges by the prosecutor’s office.

Oct. 4 - At approximately 8:30 p.m. Portageville police department was able to located Dorothy Bugg of Portageville, who had an outstanding City of Hayti warrant for failure to appear on original charges of petty larceny. Bugg was transported to the police department and processed. Buggs was released after posting a bond of $133 and given a court date.

Oct. 6 - Officers incarcerated Bobby E. Gibson, 56, of Hayti on a Hayti municipal commitment order five days on the original charge of driving while intoxicated.

Oct. 8 - At 3:15 p.m. officer were called to Pilot’s Travel Center in reference to an unruly customer. Upon arrival officers arrested Phillip W. Ertha, of Linsman, AL, after obtaining a signed complaint from the Pilot’s Employee for peace disturbance by profanity and assault. Ertha was taken to the police department where he was processed and later released after posting a bond of $296.50.
