Elvin Fredrick Townson was born February 1, 1972 to Ida Hall and Fred Hall. Elvin transitioned September 15, at University of Maryland Hospital in Baltimore, MD.

He attended and graduated from Hayti High School in 1990. Elvin was baptized in 2014 at Community of Hope Church in MD. Elvin was a soldier in the United States Army Airborne Unit for 4 years, after that he worked for the U.S. Department of State Diplomat Services, then going on to become a police officer for Prince George County in MD for 8 years.

He leaves to cherish his moments his mother, Ida Hall and father Fred (Bondell) Hall of Hayti, 7 children, Tiara (Arton) Hailey, of Greensboro, NC, Kierra Kelly of Dyersburg, TN, Dynesha Battles of Beaufort, SC, Elvin Townson, Jr. of Bryan Road, MD, Kelvin Townson, and Torri Claiborne, all of Fort Washington, MD, 3 grandchildren, Jakai Brown of Hayti, Katden and Kassidy Kelly of Dyersburg, 11 sisters and brothers, William (Latonya) Townson of Kennett, Fred, Hall, Jr., Theodore (Carolyn) Hall, Cora (Jerry) Borders, and Erica Hall, all of Hayti, Sharyl Townson of St. Louis, Daryl Vaughn of Poplar Bluff, Eric (Chaniki) Townson, Dorothy Samuel Gorman, Mary Hall, and Lillie Hall, all of Atlanta, GA, a special friend, Katrina Culbertson and daughter Madison of Laurel, MD, and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

Funeral services were held Saturday. September 23, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the Faith Temple Church of God in Christ in Hayti with Pastor Jamie Jones officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery. Active pallbearers were Perry Smith, Lawrence Jones, Stacey Wright, Wesley Sullivan, Phillip Woods, Deondra Ivory, and honorary pallbearers were William Townson, Fred Hall, Daryl Vaughn, Eric Townson, Theodore Hall, and Elvin Townson, Jr.
