ANDRE DEMON COVINGTON

Andre Demon Covington, 28, of Jonesboro, Arkansas was born on May 16, 1989 in Hayti, Missouri. He was the son of Shantell Jackson and Marvin Jackson Jr. He departed September 12, 2017 at 10 p.m.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

At an early age he accepted Christ into his life. Andre loved spending time with his family and listening to country music.

He leaves to mourn, his two sons, Branson Covington and Gabriel Covington, his parents, Shantell and Marvin Jackson and Calvin and Tonya West Jr., his siblings, Andrea (Marcus) Covington of Hayti, MO, Cavalier (Steve) Covington of Zanesville, OH, Unique (Josh) Jackson of Zanesville, OH, Quinetta Jackson of Jonesboro, AR, Marvin (Mariah) Jackson Jr. of Dyersburg, TN, two nieces, Darionna and Aironna Patterson, one nephew, Amir Shakur, his grandparents, Inez Taylor and Jerry Covington of Hayti, a host of aunts, uncles, and many other friends and relatives, and one special friend, Strandrique Matlock of Hayti.

Funeral services were held Saturday, September 23, at the Divine Holiness Church in Caruthersville, with Pastor Jamie Jones officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery in Hayti.

Active pallbearers were Harold Bays, Bennie Douglas, Jr., Montoya Covington, Jr., Andre Johnson, Thomias Ingram, and Josh Gilyard. Honorary pallbearers were Eric Johnson, Zion Taylor, and Amir Shakur.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of services for Andre Demon Covington.
