GRACIE IRENE BARBER

Gracie Irene Barber, 64, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2017, in Kennett. She was born to the late Robert E. Lee and Ona Rowe Justice on July 23, 1953, in Panther, W.V. She was united in marriage with Robert Gene Barber. She worked for many years as a CNA for Baptist Hospital in Blytheville, Ark.

Mrs. Barber was preceded in death by her parents, Robert E. Lee and Ona Rowe Justice; husband, Robert Gene Barber; one son, Jimmy A. Barber, and one sister, Bobbie Barber.

Survivors of Mrs. Barber include three sons, Robert James Barber, David Wayne Barber and Michael Barber and Jennifer, all of Steele; five sisters, Kathy Krefft of Chicago, Ill., Joyce Lee of Chicago, Ill., Freda Barber of Steele, Sherry Justice of Steele and Angie Lestner of West Virginia; one brother, Robby Lee of West Virginia; 12 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Private services for Mrs. Barber will be held at a later date.

Powell Funeral Home of Steele was in charge of arrangements.
