The local chapter of the National Wild Turkey Federation, the Riverbottom Gobblers, held their annual fundraiser and banquet at the Caruthersville Armory Saturday, Aug. 19. This annual event raises funds for many of the chapters activities, event and scholarships.

The evening began with a silent auction where attendees could bid on a variety of items such as knives, decoys, hunting items, and gun cases. Raffles, including camping equipment and a Yeti cooler were also held throughout the evening. Later in the evening a live auction was held for items such as guns, pictures, and furniture. The live auction included some high-ticket items such as a mini-bike and a pair of Quigley-Ford Long Range Custom Scopes. The banquet was catered by Bro. Doug’s BBQ and Casseroles. Larry Neal, Senior Regional Director, repeatedly mentioned this event was the largest in recent history. Over 100 people were in attendance.

Ladies were not left out as there were a variety of items to bid on and win at the big event.
The items just kept getting bigger and better as the annual event went on.
