Steele Police Report

July 31 - Casey Flanagan, 27, was arrested by police on an active Dunklin county warrant charging him with failure to appear with a cash only bond of $800. Flanagan was processed and transported to the Justice Center.

July 31 - Brittany Brumley at North First Street Apartments reported to police that her home had been burglarized. Taken from the home was furniture, clothing, TV and children’s toys.

Aug. 3 - Officers arrested Sherman Houston, 26, of Steele on an active probation and parole warrant (no bond). Houston was processed and taken to the Justice Center.

Aug. 4 - Officers observed a vehicle driving in a careless and imprudent manner. Officers activated emergency lights and siren in an attempt to stop the car but the driver initially refused to stop and after a short pursuit the driver subsequently stopped for police. The driver, a 33 year old Kennett woman, was arrested on charges of careless and imprudent driving and failure to yield to emergency lights and siren. Arresting officer: Carter.

Aug. 5 - A Steele woman reported to police that she was assaulted by another female. Officers subsequently arrested a 19 year old woman for the alleged assault. The suspect was processed and later released on a summons to appear in municipal court. Arresting officer: Carter.

Aug. 6 - Michael Ganus reported to police that someone had stolen a Deacon Condenser Unit from 302 Gibson Street. Anyone with information about the theft is encouraged to contact Steele police.

Aug. 6 - Tamela Flowers of Canal Street reported to police that someone had entered her home and stole her medication. Officers took a report of the incident and is currently being investigated by the department.

Aug. 6 - Officers responded to a fight on North Walnut Street, two juvenile girls were physically fighting. While officers were attempting to detain the juveniles one of the girls assaulted Officer Reno by biting his arm. The two girls were subsequently detained by officers and turned over to the Pemiscot County Juvenile authorities.

Aug. 7 - Officers responded to a domestic disturbance on Brooks Street; upon arrival officers subsequently arrested a 35 year old man and a 26 year old woman, both of Steele on domestic assault charges. The two suspects were processed and later released by summons to appear in municipal court. Arresting officers Stanfield and Sides.
