Caruthersville Fire Department

The Caruthersville Fire Department will be conducting its annual Muscular Dystrophy Association fill The Boot on Saturday, August 12 from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Please be generous when you see these Firefighters at 7th & Ward and 3rd & Carleton to help with the fight against Muscular Dystrophy. If anyone would like to make a contribution to the fill the boot for MDA before the 12th or thereafter, you can make your check payable to the MDA and drop it off at the Fire Station at 1400 Ward Avenue.

In 2016 the Caruthersville Fire Department collected $800. Our goal for this year is $1,000. Money raised assists in funding on-going research, MDA summer camps, Health Care Services, Public & Professional Health Education, Advocacy, and other programs. The MDA’s website, mda.org is constantly updated with the latest research news and information about the diseases in its program.
