JO ANN YOUNG

Joann (Young) Summers was born Feb. 18, 1948, in Hayti to the late W.D (Son) Young and Ardell Wren Young. She was united in marriage to Mr. Nelson Bud Summers on May 11, 1984 in Pemiscot County. He departed from this life on Sept. 11, 1999. He was the love of her life. She was proceeded in death by two brothers Terry and Larry Young of Hayti, four sisters Doris Womble, Linda Hill of Hayti, Kathy Parrish of Hermando, Mississippi and Cyndi Wells of Caruthersville.

She is survived by: one daughter Sabrena Hayes of Olive Branch, Mississippi,

one sister: Kaye Williams and husband Dewayne of Wardell, four brothers: Jerry Young and wife Mary of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Jim Young and wife Ewanda of Caruthersville, Doyle Young and wife Beverly of Kennett, Joe Young of Jacksonville, Florida and one granddaughter: Autumn Hayes of Olive Branch, Mississippi.

She leaves a host of family and friends in Hayti and the surrounding area of the Bootheel. She was a jolly person who loved life to the fullest and loved being around family and friends. Her family and friends will cherish all the memories, she will be greatly missed.

Brother Doug Wahls was in charged of arrangements on, Aug. 5. The Brimhall Funeral Home of Hayti was in charge of memorial services.
