Operation Healthy Delta offers free medical services

The U.S. Department of Defense in partnership with the Delta Regional Authority will host Operation Healthy Delta, September 13 through the 22 for Caruthersville and the surrounding areas. This Innovative Readiness Training will provide a clinic which will offer medical, dental and optical care to residents ages 2 and up, who are uninsured, underinsured or in need of quality patient care at no cost whatsoever to the patient. No proof of insurance is needed to register.

Patients will be seen Sept. 13 - 16 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. Sept. 17 from noon until 4 p.m. and Sept. 18 - 21 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. During this time, patients will be seen on a first come first serve basis as long as supplies last. The group will provide basic medical exams, wellness exams, sports physicals, optical exams, eye glasses, dental exams, extractions and fillings. Also on hand will be Lifeblood who will host a blood drive on Sept. 20 from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. They encourage everyone to come out and give the gift of life.

Please note, due to time restraints it will be impossible to visit all three medical service fields in the same day. However, patients may return on another day to receive other services.
