Clark retiring as caretaker of Barnard Cemetery

Wednesday, August 2, 2017

Harold Clark is retiring Jan. 1, 2018, as caretaker of Barnard Cemetery in Denton, Mo., after 27 years.

Clark would like to thank several people. “I would like to thank all those who have donated to the cemetery for the past 27 years. I would especially like to mention my Aunt Viola Chestnut (deceased) and her two daughters, JoAnn and Shirley. Although they have lived in Michigan all these years, they have donated hundreds over the past 27 years. I would also like to thank Raymond Pucket (deceased), who mowed the cemetery for several years without pay, and my sister, Brenda Lawrence, who has assisted me for the past several years. I would also like to say thanks to The Steele Enterprise who has been so nice putting memorials in the paper and advertising for family reunions.”

If anyone is interested in volunteering to take care of the Barnard Cemetery, call Clark at (573) 757-5655.
