CHESTER MAURICE CAMP

Chester Maurice Camp of Hayti, was born October 9, 1944 in Caruthersville and passed from this life on June 15, 2017 in Hayti. He was 72 years, 8 month and 6 days of age.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father and grandfather. He loved traveling, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and friends. He especially enjoyed all his granddaughter’s activities and family vacations to Disney World. He loved his Lord and Saviour and attending church regularly at Calvary Baptist in Hayti.

He worked for Atmos Energy as a construction operator until his retirement in 2006.

He was the son of George Daniel and Estal Anita Camp. He married Carlotta Gail Braswell on November 30, 1972. He was preceded in death by his father George D. Camp.

He leaves the following to cherish his memory: his mother, Anita Camp, wife of 44 years, Carlotta Camp, daughter, Candice Seabaugh, son in law, Scott Seabaugh, granddaughter, Sarah Seabaugh and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, June 18 at 2 p.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church in Hayti with Brother Doug Wahls officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti.

Pallbearers were Scott Seabaugh, Victor Sample, Rick Hall, Marty Metzger, David Mulliniks and Robert Plunk. Honorary pallbearers were Charles Vaughn, Calvin Ratliff, Terry Waldrop and Lee Watkins.

John W. German Funeral Home of Hayti, MO was in charge of services.
