George Aubrey Washington Thrasher

George Aubrey Washington Thrasher, 80, of Pascola, Missouri, passed away on June 13, 2017 at Pemiscot Memorial Health Systems.

George was born in Malden, Missouri on May 31, 1937.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Diane White (Thrasher) on June 26, 1998. George was also preceded in death by his parents, John Thrasher and Jeannie Snider (Thrasher) along with three sisters and brother-in-law; Violet Frye, Clisty Roarke, Lillie and Joe Braswell.

George is lovingly remembered by his children, Jacqueline (Alex) Drumright, and John (Doyletta) Thrasher, grandchildren April Drumright, Jeffery (Tiffany) Drumright, and Jonathan (Kaylee) Thrasher, great-grandchildren Blake, Tyler, and Abigail Drumright and Baby Thrasher on the way.

Gorge managed Hayti Tex Gas for 40 years. He enjoyed working outside mowing and gardening. He also enjoyed delivering newspapers and also food boxes for the Day of Hope. He loved watching his great-grandchildren play and watching the Game Show Channel.

The visitation was held at John W. German Funeral Home in Hayti, MO on June 14, 2017 at 6 p.m. The funeral service was held at John W. German Funeral Home on June 15, 2017 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Karen Hartung-Hamm officiating. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Hayti, MO.

Pallbearers were Greg Duffy, Les Drumright, Tom Moore, Justin Middleton, Tyrone and Larry Hendershot.
