Caruthersville All-Stars pick up Win against Senath Inferno
The Caruthersville All-Stars (girls 10-13), play the Senath Inferno team prior to heading into tournament play. The Senath team may be small, but they were mighty. They kept the All-Stars on their toes the entire evening. LeAnne Dudley was the starting pitcher, but the All-Stars used 3 pitchers during the course of the evening. Victoria Murillo was the catcher.
The All-Stars got off to a quick start, quickly piling on 7 runs. The Infernos may be a small team, but they are mighty. They battled back tying the score at 7 all and keeping it there for several innings. Finally, the All-Stars pulled ahead and stayed there, winning by a score of 11-7.
Coaches Katie Houston and Ronda Gilmore were proud of the efforts their team put forth heading into tournament play in Memphis June 10-11.
